Common use of Asbestos Certification Clause in Contracts

Asbestos Certification. Architect shall certify to DISTRICT, in writing and under penalty of perjury, that to the best of its knowledge, information and belief no asbestos- containing material or other material deemed to be hazardous by the state or federal government was specified as a building material in any construction document that the Architect prepares for the Project. Architect shall require all consultants who prepare any other documents for the Project to submit the same written certification.
