EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVES. As part of the District’s commitment to enhance the knowledge, skills, abilities and opportunities for promotion of its classified employees, the District offers the following programs:
EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVES. The District agrees to award educational incentives in the following manner: $100 one time bonus for an employee receiving an A.A. Degree $200 one time bonus for an employee receiving a B. A. Degree $300 one time bonus for an employee receiving an M.A. Degree A District sponsored celebration will be planning annually for all unit members who earned a degree during the year.
EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVES. A. Effective upon ratification of this agreement, newly-hired police recruits who have earned the following degrees at their time of hire shall receive a one-time sign-on bonus and current officers that earn a higher college degree while employed by the City of North Las Vegas will earn a one-time bonus as follows: Associate’s Degree, $1,100; Bachelor’s Degree, $2,250; Master’s Degree or higher, $3,000.
B. Employees who hold the following degree as of July 1st of each fiscal year shall receive one of the following lump sum payments on the first payday in August: • Any Officer who has received an Associate degree from an accredited college or University shall receive a sum of $375.00 per year in addition to his/her annual salary. • Any Officer who has received a Bachelor degree from an accredited college or University shall receive a sum of $750.00 per year in addition to his/her annual salary. • Any Officer who has received a Master’s degree from an accredited college or University shall receive a sum of $900.00 per year in addition to his/her annual salary. • Any Officer who has received multiple degrees shall only be paid for the highest degree attained. The degree must be applicable to City Government and be approved by the Department Chief.
EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVES. The self-improvement program is offered to employees as an incentive to upgrading, thus encouraging employees to equip themselves for increasing responsibility within the District. Participation in the program is voluntary. At the time an employee requests an increment, any training which has not been previously approved and is over five (5) years old shall not be considered valid for increment credit.

Upon prior written approval of the courses to be taken, the county manager shall see that the COUNTY reimburses full tuition and required lab fees for courses taken by an employee at an accredited college or university or for correspondence courses completed from an accredited school, college or university, provided such course directly applies to the employee’s employment with the Elko County Sheriff’s Department. C. The employee will receive reimbursement by presenting a receipt for tuition and a copy of each semester’s grades to the county manager’s office within 60 days after the completion of each semester.
EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVES. A. Upon prior written approval of the courses to be taken, the County Manager shall see that the COUNTY reimburses full tuition and required lab fees for courses taken by an employee at an accredited college or university or for correspondence courses completed from an accredited school, college or university, provided such course directly applies to the employee’s employment with the Elko County Sheriff’s Department. The cost of tuition and fees will not exceed $78.25 per credit for lower division classes or $128.00 per credit for upper division classes and is not retroactive prior to ratification and approval. The employee must receive a grade of C or better in order to receive reimbursement. Such courses shall not exceed six (6) credits per semester.

C. The employee will receive reimbursement by presenting a receipt for tuition and a copy of each semester’s grades to the County Manager’s office within sixty (60) days after the completion of each semester.
EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVES.
A. During the Level III internship, employees may be granted leave from their position to fill any vacant long term substitute position if they meet the qualifications of the long term substitute position. The employee may maintain health insurance and retirement benefits during the time they are in the long term substitute position which will include receiving the board’s contribution towards all benefits normally paid for regular full time employees. A long term substitute may be hired to fill the resulting vacancy by the leave.
B. Paraprofessional employees who are hired as teachers will receive credit on the salary schedule for service in the Manatee County School District. One year of credit on the teacher’s salary schedule will be given for each two years of experience as a paraprofessional employee in the Manatee County School District up to a maximum of four (4) years credit on the teacher salary schedule.
EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVES. Section 1 The following educational incentive reimbursement policy will apply to all Officers.
Section 2 The City agrees to provide reimbursement to Officers who complete approved courses relating to their current employment, or as part of Collective Bargaining Agreement IAFF Local 2909 FY1.2 - FY14 an approved career development program, based upon the following standards.
Section 3 The City shall pay one hundred percent (100%) of the costs of such courses, per Officer, per fiscal year, not to exceed the total amount budgeted for the program. Once a course has been approved as , meeting the requirements set forth above, the employee shall have the option to receive reimbursement for the course up-front or after completion of the course. In either instance the Officer upon completion of the course must present proof of satisfactory completion of the course with a passing grade for pass/fail grading system courses or a grade of C or better for letter grading system courses.
Section 4 Courses must be approved in advance by the Fire Chief as meeting the requirement that the course is related to the Officer's job, or as part of a career development program.
Section 5 Approval of courses will be considered on the basis of relevancy of the course, number of Officers applying and funds available.
Section 6 If a course is paid for in whole or in part through a Federal or State program, then the City shall not be responsible to reimburse an Officer for the amount so received, it being the intent of this provision to eliminate double payment for a course.
Section 7 Officers shall be eligible to receive a career development incentive of up to $1,000 to be calculated and paid annually on the first full pay period in December of each year. Such payment shall be made following the successful completion of a program of study approved by the Fire Chief as part of an individual employee's annual career development program. Such incentive shall be calculated and paid based upon Continuing Education Units (CEU's) or, in the absence of established CEU's, the documented off-duty contact hours associated with each course (which shall exclude non-contact hours spent for overnight programs) according to the following schedule: 15 hrs but less than 30 hours $250 30 hrs but less than 45 hours $500 45 hrs but less than 60 hours $750 60 hrs or ,more $1,000

EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVES. Section 1 The parties to this Agreement hereby acknowledge the importance and benefits of maintaining a well-educated, trained, and capable Fire & Rescue Department.
Section 2 In accordance with the acknowJedgment.set forth in Section 1 of this ARTICLE, the Employer agrees to provide the following educational incentives, grandfathered for each regular full-time employee represented in the bargaining unit on May 4, 2006, in addition to an employee's regular salary for employees who attend, or have attended, accredited colleges and studies in the field of firefighting or other related fields. In addition, the City agrees to revise this schedule based on the pending State of NH Fire and EMS certification changes provided that there is no additional cost impact. Employees hired after May 4, 2006, shall be eligible for Career Development and Education incentives as outlined in Sections 3 and 4 of this ARTICLE. All education incentives shall be payable the first full pay period in December as lump sum and shall be non-cumulative within each category listed below (Education, EMS, and Fire): Education (Grandfathered):
a) $117/yr. for the completion of 15 credit hours;
b) $234/yr. for the completion of 30 credit hours: c) $468/yr. for the completion of 60 credit hours;
EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVES. The Board of Education agrees to provide educational incentives as follows: Thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) each year payable on or before October 31. Funds will be applied toward approved educational incentives for courses completed by August 31st for payment by October 31st of the same year. Educational incentives shall be made according to the following guidelines:
1. All educational incentives must be submitted to the Superintendent on a formal application, for approval, prior to registration for the course.
2. Courses must be in the area of classroom assignments or anticipated assignment with priority given to applicants taking courses in their academic subject area(s). Other courses may be approved for reimbursement upon the recommendation of the building principal and approval of the Superintendent.
3. Certificated personnel receiving educational incentives must return to the London City School district the school year following that in which the application for educational incentive was approved in order to receive payment.
4. Individual reimbursement shall be on the basis of the following formula:
5. To be eligible for payment, a minimum grade of "B- or "Pass" must have been earned in each course for which an educational incentive was requested.
6. Before reimbursement is made, both a receipt showing payment for tuition cost and proof of satisfactory completion of the course must be presented to the Treasurer. Proof of satisfactory completion of the course shall consist of:
a. an official transcript from the college, university, or sponsoring organization; or
b. an official grade slip showing the final grade, or;
c. a letter from the college registrar's office confirming the actual completion of the course.
7. Reimbursement shall only be made if both a receipt showing payment for tuition cost and proof of satisfactory completion of the course are presented to the Treasurer no later than August 1st prior to the scheduled payment date.
8. A bargaining unit member must work thirty (30) hours or more per week to be eligible for this benefit.
9. Reimbursement shall be made in a check separate from the bargaining unit member’s salary paycheck.
