ASSIGNMENT AND TRANSFER OF CERTIFICATED EMPLOYEES. The superintendent is authorized to transfer or assign certificated employees to any position for which the employee is qualified. Assignments will be based on the qualifications of the employee, availability of other qualified personnel, the desires of the employee, as well as the philosophy and needs of the district. When a certified position becomes available, the vacancy will be posted within and may be posted outside of the district. Any interested employees will submit a written statement of their desire to be considered for the position. Current employees applying for a vacancy will be given due consideration as to filling the vacancy. If a change of assignment or building is determined to be in the best interest of the District, the employee will be notified as soon as possible and have an opportunity to express his or her preferences. Reasonable efforts will be made to not involuntarily transfer a certified employee more than one year in a row or consecutive transfers.
