ASSIGNMENT LIMITED--SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS OBLIGATED. 16 (a) The provisions of this Settlement Contract shall apply to and bind 18 the successors and assigns of the parties hereto, but no assignment or transfer of this 19 Settlement Contract or any right or interest therein shall be valid until approved in writing 20 by the Contracting Officer. 21 (b) The assignment of any right or interest in this Settlement Contract 23 by either party shall not interfere with the rights or obligations of the other party to this 24 Settlement Contract absent the written concurrence of said other party. 25 (c) The Contracting Officer shall not unreasonably condition or 27 withhold his approval of any proposed assignment. 28
