Common use of Assignment, Transfer, Collateral Use Clause in Contracts

Assignment, Transfer, Collateral Use. This Contract shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the Grantor, the Grantee, and their respective successors and assigns, except that the Grantee may not assign or transfer its rights hereunder without the prior written consent of the Grantor. Approval of an assignment does not establish any legal relationship between the Commonwealth or the Grantor and any other third party, and under no circumstances shall the Commonwealth be held liable for any act or omission committed pursuant to such an assignment.
