Common use of Audit Cost Clause in Contracts

Audit Cost. The Recipient will bear its cost of participating in any audit (e.g., mailing or travel expenses). The Energy Commission will bear the cost of conducting the audit unless the audit reveals an error detrimental to the Energy Commission that exceeds more than ten percent (10%) or $5,000 (whichever is greater) of the amount audited. The Recipient will pay the refund as specified in subsection (d), and will reimburse the Energy Commission for reasonable costs and expenses incurred by the Commission in conducting the audit.
