The Authorised Supervisor Allowance clause establishes an additional payment or benefit for employees who are officially designated as supervisors. Authorised Supervisor Allowance. An Employee classified according to clause 12.1(e) (other than a Co-ordinator (Diploma Qualified) or a Co-ordinator) who is required by the Employer to act as an Authorised Supervisor in accordance with the Children (Education and Care Services) National Law (NSW) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations, as amended, shall be paid an amount as set out in Table 3 – Other Rates and Allowances of Schedule 1 – Salary Scales and Allowances. The daily rate for such allowance shall be calculated by dividing the weekly allowance by five.

A Long Day Care, Preschool and OOSH Centre General Employee (other than a Coordinator (Diploma Qualified) or a Co-ordinator) who is required by the Employer to act as an Authorised Supervisor in accordance with the Children (Education and Care Services) National Law (NSW) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations, as amended, shall be paid an amount as set out in SCHEDULE 3 – General Employees Salary Scales and Allowances. The daily rate for such allowance shall be calculated by dividing the weekly allowance by five.
Authorised Supervisor Allowance. Employees who are appointed to the position of Authorised Supervisor will be paid an allowance of $16.12 per week. Employees who are appointed to the position on a temporary basis for more then 10 consecutive days will be paid an allowance equivalent to the weekly allowance, on a pro-rata basis. Temporary Authorised Supervisors will only be paid the allowance while acting in the position and not during periods of absence (including absence on approved leave).
