Allowances. 37.1 In addition to the wage rates prescribed in this Agreement, Employees shall be paid additional allowances as provided for by the Award. Where an employee’s uniforms are not laundered by or at the expense of the employer, the employee will be paid a laundry allowance at the rate set out in item 2 of Table 2. This allowance is also expressed as a payment per shift of part thereof of as a weekly payment – an employee is to be paid whichever is the lesser amount. (c) The uniform allowance, but not the laundry allowance, will be paid during all absences on paid leave, except absences on long service leave and absence on personal/carer’s leave beyond 21 days. Where, prior to the taking of leave, an employee was paid a uniform allowance other than at the weekly rate, the rate to be paid during absence on leave will be the average of the allowance paid during the four weeks immediately preceding the taking of leave. (d) Where an employer requires an employee to wear rubber gloves, special clothing or where safety equipment is required for the work performed by an employee, the employer must reimburse the employee for the cost of purchasing such special clothing or safety equipment, except where such clothing or equipment is provided by the employer. 22.2 Clothing and Equipment (Nursing Classifications only) (a) Employees required by the employer to wear uniforms will be supplied with an adequate number of uniforms, shoes, a cardigan or jacket, socks and stockings appropriate to the occupation free of cost to employees. AllowancesThe proposal may contain payment items designated as allowances. Funds listed in allowance items are to be spent at the direction of DHHL. The allowance is an estimate only and is subject to increase or decrease depending on the actual cost of the item. The funds are for the direct costs of an item and all pricing, submittal and review, overhead, installation, profit, insurance, surety, processing of the issuance of checks for payment to other parties, and all other costs will be included. No payment will be made for incidental costs. Allowances specifically set aside for construction work and materials will be negotiated when the scope of work is determined. Any unspent allowance costs will be deducted from the contract by change order prior to final payment.
Allowances. Because it is impossible at the time of execution of the Facilities Lease to determine the exact cost of performing certain tasks, the Cost of the Work shall include the following Allowances for the Tasks/Work as noted here: Total Allowance Amount The Allowance Value for an Allowance Item includes the direct cost of labor, materials, equipment, transportation, taxes and insurance associated with the applicable Allowance Item. All other costs, including design fees, Developer’s overall project management and general conditions costs, overhead and fee, are deemed to be included in the original Guaranteed Maximum Price, and are not subject to adjustment regardless of the actual amount of the Allowance Item. The District shall have sole discretion to authorize all expenditures from the Allowances. The District shall process expenditures from the Allowances in the form of an Allowance Expenditure Directive (“AED”). The Allowances are included in the Guaranteed Maximum Price. Any unused Allowance or unused portion thereof shall be deducted from the Cost of the Work pursuant to Exhibit D to this Facilities Lease to the benefit of the District.
AllowancesAbsent an Event of Default the Borrower may grant such allowances or other adjustments to Debtors (exclusive of extending the time for payment of any item which shall not be done without first obtaining the Bank’s written consent in each instance) as the Borrower may reasonably deem to accord with sound business practice, including, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, accepting the return of all or any part of the inventory (subject to the provisions set forth in this Agreement with reference to returned inventory).
