Common use of Authority Not Liable Clause in Contracts

Authority Not Liable. Except as specifically provided for in this Contract, the Authority shall not be under any duty or obligation to the Contractor to repair or maintain the Premises, or any portion thereof, or any facilities or equipment constructed thereon. The Authority shall not be responsible or liable to the Contractor for any claims, losses, damages, or injury, including lost profits, sustained by the Contractor or any of its joint venturers or subcontractors, resulting from any failure of water supply, heat, air conditioning, electrical power, or sewer or drainage facility, or from natural physical conditions on the Airport, whether on the surface or underground, including stability, moving, shifting, settlement of ground, or displacement of materials by fire, water, windstorm, tornado or other physical event, or from any act of God, state of war, civilian commotion or riot, act of the Federal government or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Authority.
