Common use of Authority of Department Staff Clause in Contracts

Authority of Department Staff. Department staff are not authorized to sign forms developed by the Contractor unless those forms have received prior approval by an attorney for the Department. The Department is not bound by unauthorized staff actions in signing such forms. Department staff are permitted to sign the written Service Plan referenced in Attachment C of this Contract, sign documents as witnesses, and sign documents acknowledging receipt of information from Contractors.
