Common use of Availability of Books and Records Clause in Contracts

Availability of Books and Records. Business Associate shall permit the Secretary and other regulatory and accreditation authorities to audit Business Associate’s internal practices, books and records at reasonable times as they pertain to the use and disclosure of PHI received from, or created or received by Business Associate on behalf of, Covered Entity in order to ensure that Covered Entity or Business Associate is in compliance with the requirements of the Privacy Rule.
