Awarding of Contracts. a) The Recipient will ensure that Contracts will be awarded in a way that is fair, transparent, competitive and consistent with value-for-money principles or in a manner otherwise acceptable to Canada, and if applicable, in accordance with the Canadian Free Trade Agreement and international trade agreements. b) If Canada determines that the Recipient has awarded a Contract in a manner that is not in compliance with the foregoing, upon notification to the Recipient, Canada may consider the expenditures associated with the Contract to be ineligible.
