Behavioral Health Integration into QAPI Program. The MCO must integrate behavioral health into its QAPI Program and include a systematic and ongoing process for monitoring, evaluating, and improving the quality and appropriateness of Behavioral Health Services provided to Members. Except for the Members identified below, the MCO must collect data, and monitor and evaluate for improvements to physical health outcomes resulting from behavioral health integration into the Member’s overall care. STAR Members in the Dallas Service Area receive Behavioral Health Services through the NorthSTAR Program, and Behavioral Health Services are not a covered benefit for CHIP Perinates (unborn children).
Behavioral Health Integration into QAPI Program. If the HMO provides Behavioral Health Services within the Covered Services as defined in Attachments B-2, B-2.1, and B-2.2, it must integrate behavioral health into its QAPI Program and include a systematic and on-going process for monitoring, evaluating, and improving the quality and appropriateness of Behavioral Health Services provided to Members.
