Common use of Behavioral Health Integration into QAPI Program Clause in Contracts

Behavioral Health Integration into QAPI Program. The MCO must integrate behavioral health into its QAPI Program and include a systematic and ongoing process for monitoring, evaluating, and improving the quality and appropriateness of Behavioral Health Services provided to Members. Except for the Members identified below, the MCO must collect data, and monitor and evaluate for improvements to physical health outcomes resulting from behavioral health integration into the Member’s overall care. STAR Members in the Dallas Service Area receive Behavioral Health Services through the NorthSTAR Program, and Behavioral Health Services are not a covered benefit for CHIP Perinates (unborn children).
