Big Stone South Substation - Transmission Owner Interconnection Facilities. The Transmission Owner purchased and installed one 230 kV dead-end structure, one 230 kV 2000 amp 3-pole motor operated line switch, three 152 kV MCOV line arrestors, control house equipment and grounding materials. Control House Equipment modifications and Grounding Grid modifications were modified. Protection and Control Overview - One new panel was constructed for line protection and motor operated line switch. This panel included motor operated controls, an SEL 421, and an SEL 311C relays.
