Common use of BILLING OF WORKS EXECUTED Clause in Contracts

BILLING OF WORKS EXECUTED. The Contractor will submit a bill in approved proforma in quadruplicate to the Engineer- in- Charge/Site-in-Charge of the work giving abstract and detailed measurement for the various items executed during a month, before the expiry of the first week of the succeeding month. The Engineer-in-Charge/Site-in-Charge shall take or cause to be taken the requisite measurements for the purpose of having the bill verified and/or checked before forwarding the same to the disbursement office of the Owner for further action in terms of the Contract and payment thereafter. The Engineer-in-Charge/Site-in- Charge shall verify the bills within 7 days of submission of the Bill by the Contractor.
