Common use of Biological and Environmental Monitoring Clause in Contracts

Biological and Environmental Monitoring. The biological and environmental monitoring described below will address the overall status of anadromous fish populations and related ecosystem health in the Battle Creek watershed which includes the Restoration Project Area. The Parties understand and agree that biological and environmental monitoring in the watershed and Restoration Project Area will be performed by USFWS and/or CDFG, or their designated representatives, using available funding from Central Valley fishery restoration funding sources, including but not limited to, the $1,000,000 federal funding allocation for the Restoration Project described in Section 10.2; and CALFED’s Comprehensive Monitoring Assessment Research Program; and CVPIA's CAMP. The Parties understand and agree that if sufficient funding is not available through the above sources they will jointly pursue other appropriate funding sources. The Parties will jointly prepare the Agencies’ detailed biological and environmental monitoring component of the Adaptive Management Plan described in Section 9.1 A 2 (b).
