Common use of Body Make-Up Clause in Contracts

Body Make-Up. ‌ Only where suitable bathing facilities are available at the place of performance may the Artist be required to use body make-up. Where suitable bathing facilities are not available at the place of performance, the Artist may agree to wear body make-up on condition that they are provided with protective clothing which the Theatre shall be responsible for cleaning, and the Artist is reimbursed for any resultant cleaning bills for their personal clothing on presentation of receipts. The Theatre may, at its own expense, clean the Artist's personal clothing in lieu of the above payment. If the Artist is required to use body make-up, the Theatre shall launder towels daily for removal of such make-up.
