Boundary Surveys Sample Clauses
The Boundary Surveys clause establishes the requirement for a precise survey to determine the exact property lines of a parcel of land. Typically, this clause outlines who is responsible for obtaining the survey, the standards the survey must meet, and the timeframe for its completion. For example, it may require a licensed surveyor to mark the boundaries before closing a real estate transaction. Its core function is to prevent disputes over property lines by ensuring all parties have a clear, authoritative understanding of the land's boundaries.

Field surveys shall be performed to search for and tie these known monuments of record as well as to search for unrecorded monuments and evidence in support of public and private boundaries, right-of-way, and easements. All found monuments shall be provided in a formal tabulation and/or shown on the plans, to give the contractor notification of their presence, see Task 11 – Bidding and Selection. Based on the acquired records, rectified to field surveyed monuments, a preliminary land net shall be compiled in CAD. As more record information is uncovered, that information shall be added to the land net.
