Briefing Counsel. 8.1 The Lawyer will only retain and brief counsel on the IRO’s Approved Barrister list in an ILARS grant matter.
8.2 Exceptions to the choice of Counsel may apply on request to the IRO or with respect to matters outside the jurisdiction of the Personal Injury Commission.
8.3 The Lawyer will only retain and brief counsel in accordance with the ILARS Funding Guidelines current at the time of briefing counsel. The Lawyer is not entitled to any lien or charge over any file, document or other item in connection with the provision of legal services by the Lawyer in respect of any ILARS grant matter.

8.2 Exceptions to the choice of Counsel may apply on request to the WIRO or with respect to matters outside the jurisdiction of the Workers Compensation Commission.
8.3 The Lawyer will only retain and brief counsel in accordance with the ILARS Policy current at the time of briefing counsel.
Briefing Counsel. We are authorised by you to brief counsel on your behalf to appear in Court, confer, advise and draw and/or settle documents and you acknowledge that:
5.1 except in circumstances of urgency or where it is otherwise impracticable, we will discuss with and take into account your wishes when briefing counsel;
5.2 you agree that we are authorised to brief Counsel where appropriate;
5.3 you must prepay on request all counsel fees which are incurred or to be incurred by us, and must pay all counsel’s fees which are billed on your account to us on this matter.
