Common use of Building Responsibility - Absence of the Principal Clause in Contracts

Building Responsibility - Absence of the Principal. It is understood by both parties that the operation of a school building and the decisions pertaining thereto are the responsibility of the building principal. When it is necessary for the principal to be absent from his/her building, the clerk shall be advised where he/she can be reached in an emergency. Should an emergency arise and the clerk is unable to reach the principal, he/she may call the switchboard operator at the Xxxxxxx Administration Building who shall notify the administrator available to handle the emergency and/or unusual situations requiring decisions beyond the authority of the employee.
