Common use of BUILDING SUPPLIES Clause in Contracts

BUILDING SUPPLIES. A. Supply rooms shall be available to teachers at times during the school day decided upon by the principal and building committee. Teachers shall be given copies of all their orders and backorders of supplies. B. A teacher who is not provided with an adequate supply of books by September 15 shall be entitled to appeal directly through the Federation to the superintendent. C. When supplies are ordered that are not in stock, a copy of the requisition will be returned to the originator of the order listing the date ordered. The teacher may choose to reorder again or order different supplies for the budget year. D. In addition to the regular per pupil supply allocation, which shall not be lower than the amount allocated in the 2007-08 school year, $8.00 (effective 8-1-09) per pupil will be allocated to each school as additional supply money to elementary schools. This additional allocation will be spent as per agreement of the building committee and principal. The decision must be a mutual one. Distribution must include all teachers in the school. This additional amount will be spent during the life of this agreement as per the guidelines above. Money allocated herein shall not be used for supplies for copiers or other office equipment. (See Article V, K) E. Back-ordered supplies will be charged to the budget year in which they were ordered. Failure to deliver in that budget year shall not result in cancellation.
