CALCULATION OF REBATES. For rebate calculation preceding year refers to the 12 consecutive billing periods ending on the calculation date, or refers to the time you have been a cardmember if you have been a cardmember for less than a year. Rebates are not earned on purchases of travellers cheques or foreign currencies, funds advances, Amex cheques, balance transfers, interest or fees and other charges charged to your card account that are not for the purchase of goods and services.
