California Certification Clause Samples

The California Certification clause requires parties to affirm that they comply with specific legal or regulatory standards mandated by the state of California. Typically, this involves certifying adherence to California laws such as those related to environmental regulations, labor practices, or business operations. For example, a vendor might need to certify that their products meet California’s Proposition 65 requirements or that they do not engage in discriminatory employment practices. The core function of this clause is to ensure legal compliance within California’s jurisdiction and to protect the contracting parties from potential legal liabilities arising from non-compliance with state-specific laws.
