Call Waiting ID. Call Waiting allows a person involved in a telephone conversation to be alerted when another caller is attempting to call. The called party may hold the existing call and answer the new call by flashing the switchhook. Customer may interexchange the held and talking connection as often as they wish by flashing the switchhook.
