Common use of Canadian Teachers’ Federation Clause in Contracts

Canadian Teachers’ Federation. Where operational requirements permit, an employee elected or appointed to participate on the Board, a committee or a task force of the Canadian Teachers’ Federation shall be granted leave with pay at the cost of a substitute teacher providing: a) the leave is requested in advance, and b) the total leave granted to an employee under this article has not exceeded ten (10) days in the school year. Further leave under this clause may be accommodated by mutual agreement of the parties.
