The Career Development Increments (CDI) clause establishes a structured system for awarding periodic salary increases to employees based on their professional growth and continued service. Career Development Increments (CDI a) The value for one (1) full CDI is established in Appendix “A”.
b) A Teaching Faculty Member whose base salary is less than 2.5 times the salary floor is eligible for one (1) CDI. A Teaching Faculty Member’s maximum CDI is the lesser of: one (1) full CDI, or the amount necessary to bring that Teaching Faculty Member’s base salary to 2.5 times the salary floor after the application of any ATB and before the application of any Achievement Increment. A Teaching Faculty Member whose assessment on Teaching and Service/Other is satisfactory shall receive one (1)

c) In the assessment of performance the ▇▇▇▇ may take into account any substantial absence during the performance review period due to either a leave as set out in article 28 or a disability as set out in 26.05 and/or 26.06. In the event that a Faculty Member has taken a leave under Short Term Disability (26.05), Long Term Disability (26.06), maternity (28.04), paternity/adoption (28.05), during the performance review period to such an extent that a meaningful evaluation cannot be made, the ▇▇▇▇ shall substitute the Faculty Member’s previous year’s assessment.
Career Development Increments (CDI. 1. A Career Development Increment shall be payable to each faculty member, added to base salary, on September 1 of each year, that is on September 1, 2008 and September 1, 2009, and September 1, 2010, except as provided below, for satisfactory service in the immediately preceding service year and is conditional upon receipt of the faculty member’s annual report.
