Career Employment. 1. Employees who successfully complete the probationary period shall be placed on career status. 2. Career employees returning to the bargaining unit after an absence from the bargaining unit shall be placed no lower than the same salary step they were on when they left provided that said absence is no longer than two (2) years. 3. Career employees transferred to a new assignment shall be evaluated for three (3) consecutive months.
