Category Qualification. Employees who are displaced under A above shall qualify for any 41 retention category for which the employee: 42 1. Has a valid W A State Certificate, and 43 2. Has either successfully taught the subject during the current or previous five (5) years, 44 excluding substitute experience, or 45 3. Has the appropriate endorsement. 46 4. For teachers with unendorsed certificates, who are not employees of the North Xxxxx 47 School District, Items 1 and 2 of this section will be applied, along with successful 48 experience teaching the subject matter for retention for a minimum of five (5) years during 49 the course of their career, or have taught the subject within the current or previous ten (10) 1 years. 2 5. For current employees, as of August 1, 2011, who hold unendorsed certificates, only 4 be placed into a position based upon successful experience and area of preparation. 5 If a dispute over the issue of professional development arises, it will be reviewed by the Superintendent 6 or designee and the Association President or designee. 7
