Common use of CDOT SHALL Clause in Contracts

CDOT SHALL. Be responsible for the planning, location, design, construction, operation and maintenance, and perpetuation of a safe and efficient transportation system needed for the benefit of the public in accordance with Title 23, USC. CDOT is also responsible for ensuring that social, economic, and environmental effects are considered in the planning, development, and maintenance of state transportation projects and that the projects are in the best overall interest of the public.
