Common use of Certain Familial Relationships Prohibited Clause in Contracts

Certain Familial Relationships Prohibited. The Academy Board shall prohibit specifically identified family relationships pursuant to applicable law and the Terms and Conditions of this contract. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Contract, the following shall be deemed prohibited familial relationships for the purposes of this Contract: (a) No person shall be appointed or reappointed to serve as an Academy Board member if the person’s mother, mother-in-law, father, father-in-law, son, son-in-law, daughter, daughter-in- law, sister, sister-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, spouse or same-sex domestic partner: (i) Is employed by the Academy; (ii) Works at or is assigned to the Academy (iii) Has an ownership, officer, policy making, managerial, administrative, non-clerical or other significant role with the Academy’s ESP or employee leasing company.
