Common use of Certificate of Architect Clause in Contracts

Certificate of Architect. 25.1. Architect certifies that the Architect is properly certified or licensed under the laws and regulations of the State of California to provide the professional services that it has herein agreed to perform. 25.2. Architect warrants it shall comply with all applicable ordinances, regulations, and resolutions of the county in which the District is located. Architect also warrants all of the work Architect performs under this Agreement shall comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and codes of the United States and the State of California. 25.3. [Reserved] 25.4. Architect certifies that it is aware of the provisions of the California Labor Code that require every employer to be insured against liability for workers compensation or to undertake self-insurance in accordance with the provisions of that code, and it certifies that it will comply with those provisions before commencing the performance of the Services of this Agreement. 25.5. Architect certifies that it is aware of the provisions of California Labor Code and California Code of Regulations that require the payment of prevailing wage rates and the performance of other requirements on certain “public works” and “maintenance” projects (“Prevailing Wage Laws”). Architect agrees to fully comply with and to require its Consultant(s) to fully comply with all requirements of the Prevailing Wage Laws, if applicable to Architect and its Consultants’ professional services to be provided under this Agreement.
