Common use of Certificate of Substantial Completion Clause in Contracts

Certificate of Substantial Completion. A document prepared by the Contractor and approved by the Project Coordinator on the basis of an inspection stating: 2.12.1 that the Work, or a designated portion thereof, is determined to be Substantially Complete; 2.12.2 the date of Substantial Completion; 2.12.3 the responsibilities of the University and the Contractor regarding security, maintenance, heat, utilities, damage to the Work and insurance; and 2.12.4 the time within which the Contractor shall complete the remaining work.
