Common use of Certificates of Insurance Requirements Clause in Contracts

Certificates of Insurance Requirements. The Certificate(s) of Insurance shall name VEIC and the District as additionally insured parties as their interests may appear on all liability policies and provide a waiver of subrogation in favor of the additional insured to the fullest extent allowable under all policies and under the law. In no event will any Services be performed until the required Certificate(s) of Insurance signed by an authorized agent or broker of the insurer(s) have been provided to and accepted by VEIC. All insurance will be written with financially responsible companies authorized to do business in the District of Columbia or in the jurisdiction where the work is to be performed and that have an A.M. Best Company rating of A-VIII or higher.
