CERTIFICATION REGARDING DEBARMENT, SUSPENSION, INELIGIBILITY. AND VOLUNTARY EXCLUSION a. it and its principals (including, but not limited to, its officers, directors, partners, or any of its employees directly involved in obtaining or performing contracts with public bodies) are not presently and have never been debarred, suspended, proposed for debarment, declared ineligible, or voluntarily excluded from participation in this or other transactions with any public entity, including the State pursuant to §§ 16-101 et seq. of the State Finance & Procurement Article, Annotated Code of Maryland; b. it was not established and it does not operate in a manner designed to evade the application of or defeat the purpose of debarment pursuant to §§ 16-101 et seq., of the State Finance and Procurement Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland; and, c. it is not a successor-in-interest, assignee, subsidiary, or affiliate of a suspended or debarred business. Where the Contractor is unable to certify to any of the above, it shall attach an explanation to this Contract, in the appropriate sections of the Contract’s Bid/Proposal Affidavit. The Contractor further agrees by signing this Contract that it will include this clause entitled "Certification Regarding Debarment, Suspension, Ineligibility, and Voluntary Exclusion," without modification, in all transactions covered by this Contract and in all solicitations for covered transactions.
