Common use of Changes to Documents Clause in Contracts

Changes to Documents. Insertion, addition, alteration, modification, revision, or deletion of any text, verbiage, provision, statement, term, condition, or other component of the Contract Documents, whether textual, numerical, or pictorial, is prohibited and no such unilateral change to the Contract Documents shall be binding. In the event the Owner discovers any attempt by the Contractor to modify the Contract Documents by insertion, addition, alteration, revision, or deletion of any text, verbiage, provision, statement, term, condition, or other portion of the Contract Documents without the written assent and approval of the Owner, the Owner shall have grounds to withdraw the contract award, terminate all proceedings related to contractual relationship with the Contractor for the subject Project, and to award the contract to the next bidder which met the requirements of the invitation to bid.
