Charges for social care services. The GPPCP operates and administers Peterborough City Council's charging policy for non-residential social care services (referred to as the Fairer Charging policy) on behalf of the Council, but it cannot vary the level of charges. These are not due to change during 2005-06 although a review of the charging policy is planned during the course of the year and any changes recommended, and subsequently agreed by the Council, will take effect from 1 April 2006. The Council sets its funding commitment to the Pooled Fund as a figure net of anticipated income from service users and the GPPCP, in turn, collects and retains service user income due as charges in accordance with the charging rules set out in the Fairer Charing policy.
