Chief Building Official Clause Samples

The 'Chief Building Official' clause defines the authority and responsibilities of the individual designated as the chief building official for a construction project or within a jurisdiction. This clause typically outlines the official's role in reviewing plans, issuing permits, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations. For example, the chief building official may have the power to approve or reject construction documents and to enforce safety standards on site.
