Common use of CITY'S RIGHT TO STOP Clause in Contracts

CITY'S RIGHT TO STOP. THE WORK‌ If Contractor fails to correct Defective Work as required by Section 12.2 of these General Conditions, fails to perform the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents, or violates any Applicable Code Requirement, City may, without terminating the Contract, direct Contractor to stop the Work, or any portion thereof, until the cause for such order has been eliminated by Contractor. Contractor shall not be entitled to any adjustment of Contract Time or Contract Sum as a result of any such order. City shall have no duty or responsibility to Contractor or any other party to exercise the right to stop the Work.
