Citywide Special Education Programs. Positions identified by the Special Education Department as serving special needs students who have IEPs will be known as Special Education Assistants. These positions will exist in the following programs: Autism Spectrum Disorders, CLASS, SPEN, SPAN, Federal Setting III and IV EBD programs, ECSE, D/HH, DCD, PHD, Hospital Agencies, Lifeskills, and Transition Plus.
