Clinical Associate Professor Clause Samples
Clinical Associate Professor. For initial appointment to this rank, a doctorate in the appropriate field is required. For those applying for promotion to this rank, it may be considered advantageous for the candidate to have earned a doctorate, but it is not a requirement unless made necessary by accreditation standards. Promotion: A full-time clinical associate professor becomes eligible for promotion to the rank of clinical professor after a minimum of fourteen (14) years of service (ten (10) years with a second graduate degree).
Clinical Associate Professor. In addition to the qualifications required of a Clinical Assistant Professor, the appointee shall have had extensive successful experience in clinical practice in a field of specialization and in working with and/or directing others (such as professionals, faculty members, graduate students, fellows, and residents or interns) in clinical activities in the field. The appointee must also have demonstrated superior clinical practice and teaching ability and accomplishments. Appointments for Clinical Associate Professor positions shall be for four (4) years with possible reappointments.
