Common use of CLINICAL LABORATORY IMPROVEMENT Clause in Contracts

CLINICAL LABORATORY IMPROVEMENT. The provider/subcontractor shall ensure that all laboratory testing sites providing services under this provider contract/subcontract have either a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA) certificate of waiver or a certificate of registration along with a CLIA identification number. Those laboratory service providers with a certificate of waiver shall provide only those tests permitted under the terms of their waiver. Laboratories with certificates of registration may perform a full range of laboratory tests.
