Cogeneration Facility. Any Cogeneration facility that sequentially produces electricity, steam or means equipment used to produce electric energy and forms of useful thermal energy (e.g.such as heat or steam), heat) from the same fuel source and which are used for industrial, commercial, heating, or cooling purposes, through the sequential use of energy. It is not intended fundamentally for sale to an electric utility and requires that at least 50 percent of the aggregate output, on an annual basis, be used for industrial, commercial, residential or institutional purposes.
