Collection of Xxxxxxx’x Lupine Seed and Plant Material. The collection of some leaves, flowers, and seeds from Xxxxxxx’x lupine plants found on the enrolled lands may be allowed to support various seed banking, propagation and scientific research efforts designed to benefit the species. Sources of plant material may need to be developed for reintroduction purposes, and for research that may be essential in identifying new management techniques and understanding existing habitat conditions. To minimize the potential risk of adverse effects associated with trampling and direct collection of specimens, no more than five percent of the available seed, leaves, and flowers will be collected from a given site in any one year. While it is acknowledged that limited collection of Xxxxxxx’x lupine plant material may occur on lands enrolled under this Agreement, a separate ESA 10(a)(1)(A) permit will be required to cover this activity.
