Common use of Commencement of Contract Work Clause in Contracts

Commencement of Contract Work. Unless specifically exempted, the state of Washington Office of Financial Management (OFM) requires that all sole source personal service contracts and amendments thereto and competitively bid personal service contracts for management consulting, organizational development, marketing, communications, employee training and employee recruiting be approved by OFM to become binding. The personal service contract and amendments thereto must be filed with OFM at least ten (10) working days prior to the effective date. No work may be performed nor any payment be rendered or obligation for future payment be incurred prior to the completion of the ten (10) working day period and approval of OFM.
