Formerly known as Designated Senior Tech- nician, the Communication Technician (Net- work Cabling Specialist) Xxxxxxx shall have completed a Network Cabling Specialist (ei- ther through apprenticeship or certificate challenge) and be able to carry out work as defined within this trade. They may also de- sign cabling layouts, configure voice-data- video systems in addition, Communication Technician (Network Cabling Specialist) Xxxxxxx shall be capable of directing other Employees. Communication Technician (Net- work Cabling Specialist) Xxxxxxx must meet the classification requirements of a Journey- man Technician (Network Cabling Specialist) Level 3 and may be reclassified as Journey- man Technician (Network Cabling Specialist) Level 3 if they are not required for supervi- sion.
