Common use of Community Liaison Officer (CLO Clause in Contracts

Community Liaison Officer (CLO. It is a requirement of the Contract that a Community Liaison Officer (CLO) shall be selected by the Employer and appointed by the Contractor. The primary functions of the CLO shall be to assist the contractor with the selection and recruitment of labour, to represent the local community in matters concerning the use of labour on the works, and to assist with and facilitate communication between the Contractor, the Principal Agent and the local communities. The method of identifying suitable candidates for the position of CLO, as well as requirements in respect of the employment of the selected candidate will be advised by the Employer.
