Compensation and Terms of Consulting Teachers. Consulting Teachers shall receive an annual stipend of $5,300; prorated when service is less than one year. To earn the stipend, Consulting Teachers are required to provide 150 annual hours of consulting service beyond their typical workday. The term for the Consulting Teacher shall expire upon the completion of the third school year following the initial appointment by the Panel. The Panel may consider approving an extended term for a Consulting Teacher based upon unusual and/or, special circumstances which are presented in writing by the Consulting Teacher no later than sixty (60) calendar days prior to the end of the term. The first successful applicants for Consulting Teacher positions, as this program is initially implemented, shall be appointed to staggered terms as determined by the Panel.
