COMPENSATION FOR LOSS OF EFFECTS. In the event of shipwreck, stranding, sinking, burning, flooding or collision of the vessel, crewmembers will be reimbursed for loss of personal effects, instruments, and equipment in the amount up to two thousand dollars ($2,000) if not covered by personal insurance or by State of Alaska insurance. Each crewmember must provide the Employer with an itemized list of their losses including replacement values and an explanation of benefits that show insurance did not cover the items. In the event the individual does not provide an explanation of benefits, the Employer will reimburse up to five-hundred dollars ($500). Reimbursement may be made for items over two-thousand dollars ($2,000) up to five-thousand dollars ($5,000) if supported by receipts.
