COMPENSATION FOR THICKNESS DEFICIENCIES. 13.5.1 Cores shall be made to determine pavement thickness. If any core measurement is less than the thickness indicated on the construction plans, the Contractor will have the option of removing and replacing the pavement at the Contractor's expense, or will be required to reimburse the City of University City for the deficiencies in thickness noted on the following schedule. The choice of the alternative penalty under category 4 below will be at the sole discretion of the City of University City. The reimbursement shall be deposited with the Director of Finance of the City of University City. 0.00 inch to 0.30 inch No adjustment 0.30 inch to 0.50 inch 20% of Actual Bid Cost.
